Cavour Square

Cavour Square is commonly called "Borgo" ("the Village") by inhabitants. It is no coincidence that the church on the northern side of the Piazza, has taken the name of Sant’Agata del Borgo (Saint Agatha of the Village).

This pleasant square-garden has a central seventeenth century marble fountain statue of the goddess Ceres, affectionately known to locals as Goddess Pallas and, in their regional dialect, as "a Tapallara".
