The Torre Garisenda was built in the same period as the Asinelli. It just a little bit over 48 metres tall and is listing by three. Actually, it started out as more than 60 metres tall. However ground settlement led to such a dramatic leaning that in the 14th century it was cut off for safety reasons.
Dante Alighieri saw it while it was still at its full height and referred to it in Canto 31 of The Inferno where he compared it to the doubled over giant, Anteo.
